The story behind ChocoSomnia is very unique. Riikka Ojanen, owner of ChocoSomnia, used to work as a dentalhygienist before she found her true calling from chocolate. So she truly switched to the ”dark side”.

She got her basic chocolate education from colleagues in Finland and Belgium and after that she’s been learning by doing.

Riikka was born and raised in Sodankylä, Lapland, and makes her chocolates now in Oulu, the self proclaimed capital of Northen Scandinavia. She gets inspiration from both Lapland’s nature and Oulu’s technological atmosphere.
